Cutie Tip for Today: Good Makeup brushes can make all the difference but with so many to choose from, how do you pick? Well here are my suggestions. Buy the Perfect 10 plus 3. Pick up the Perfect 10 Brush Set from Sephora. These brushes will do the trick , they are soft but durable and they come in a great pink case. For the price point you get a selection of all the face and eye brushes you need and it also comes with the ever popular lip and brow brush. This set is just about perfect but I would suggest adding three indivdual brushes: Smashbox Crease Brush #10; MAC Large Powder Brush #134 and FINALLY the best brush ever created CHANEL Brush #4. HA! Even though I am not ready to give up my cosmetic bag quite yet, I might just have to add some dried apricots to my kit for a snack.   I recently learned that APRICOTS are a wonderful anti aging weapon. Sweet Tooth in a Snow Storm

Hot Cocoa Colada
Simmer two 14-ounce cans of coconut milk with 1 cup of water in a pot. Add 1/2 cup sugar and 9 ounces of chopped milk or dark chocolate ( or a mixture). Whisk to melt and combine. Add coconut rum (to the potency you desire) and garnish with marshmellow and a bit toasted nuts, and toasted coconut if your really daring add dash of Kahlua liquor.

SOME HAIR RAISING ADVICE

Who knew that watching the behind the scenes interviews from the Miss America Pageant could be a choking hadzor. Well it was for me when I heard one of many beauties mention that she sprayed HAIRSPRAY on her face to seal and lock her make up in place before the show. I feel as though there should have been blinking lights over her face stating " DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME" Spraying hairspray on your face is never a good idea . If you are in need of a seal and locking agent try a professional product and you can buy it for less then some hairsprays.  I reccomend Ben Nye Final Seal Matte Sealer simply spray once over any completed makeup application and then let the Nye Dry. You will have a smudge and water resistant finish in a flash.  Even in the most intense moments, Nye will keep things in place. This is a powerful product so do use a bit of caution on very sensitive skin.  Please use the hairspray for what it was intended for, the hairs on your head.  Your skin will thank us for it! 

Best Foot Forward...

Every once in awhile I will be shopping around Target and strolling down the fragrance isle and I find myself drawn to that deep dark black bottle with the white writing that so simply states Drakkar Noir. Everytime I take the smallest whiff memories of : spin the bottle, 7 minutes in heaven, shell necklaces from the shore, first kisses and MC Hammer pants come flooding back to me. This past weekend I celebrated my 5 year wedding anniversary.
